LIBRARY

IDSVA is proud to be the first school in the country to offer a fully-online library for its students.  The library provides access to the literature of art & philosophy through such online sources as the Mellon Foundation’s JSTOR database, Johns Hopkins’ Project Muse database, as well as online reference resources from Oxford University Press & the University of Chicago Press.

Research assistance is available via email, video, chat and phone, and specialized library instruction is offered during student residencies.  Students have access to interlibrary loan services through a unique consortial arrangement with the Maine State Library, which includes delivery of inter-library loan print books directly to the students home residence.
